Force India facing an uncertain future

Speculation over Force India's future has reached a boiling point this morning after photos from the
Belgian Grand Prix paddock showed Force India's lorries stripped of logos. While preparation for the Grand Prix continues as normal, uncertainty still lingers over the team's eligibility to race this weekend.

Force India announced that they had entered administration a few weeks ago and that they were seeking investment to save the team from bankruptcy. Thanks to the efforts of Sergio Perez and the team, they were saved from this fate by a consortium led by billionaire Lawrence Stroll, father of Lance Stroll. It is reported, however, that while the physical assets of the team have been purchased the entry that allows the team to race has yet to be transferred. This means, of course, that Force India currently are not eligible to enter a Grand Prix.

As well as this, it has also been reported that Liberty Media has approached all the teams in a bid to save the budget team. The deal would see the team lose their points in the constructor's title and would most likely trigger a flurry of activity in the driver's market.  If this was the case, who would go where? The most likely transfer is that Stroll would move to Force India. This leaves an empty seat at Williams. This seat could be filled by Robert Kubica or Oliver Rowland, but also Esteban Ocon. Ocon is the driver who is set to lose his seat to Stroll and leaves him without a drive. What are his options? Williams could be one thanks to the connection with Mercedes. Toro Rosso currently has a vacant seat thanks to Gasly's departure to Red Bull. Potentially, Mclaren could be an option if they decide not to keep on Vandoorne. In reality, Ocon could suffer the same fate as Pascal Wehrlein. Being in the wrong team at the wrong time. This is currently all speculation, however!

Reports of a name change have also come through which would have to be approved by all the teams. This is likely to happen thanks to the scenes of the blank lorries in the paddock. What will it be called? Force Stroll? Force Canada? Force Money Money Money? We are yet to see. I really hope that Force India remain in the paddock for the foreseeable future. They have shown that even a low budget team can achieve results. The future is uncertain at the moment but we should have an idea come this weekend.

Williams F1: A Rollercoaster

From the gutter to glory and back to the gutter. This is the story of Williams in F1 in a nutshell. If you asked someone on the street today to name a Formula 1 team, the most likely answers would be Mercedes or Ferrari. If you asked the same question in the 80's and 90's, Everyone would most likely answer Williams. So what happened to Williams? What caused this huge decline and is there a way out for them? Williams' F1 journey began back in 1977 at the Spanish GP. The team failed to score a single point all season with driver Patrick Nevé picking up a best finish of 7th(bearing in mind the points system was different back then). The team then began producing their own cars in 1978 and scored their first win at the 1979 British Grand Prix. From then on, the team enjoyed huge success with Alan Jones winning the drivers title in 1980 along with the constructor's title. They went on to win EIGHT more constructors titles between 1981 and 1997 along with 6 more drivers t

Alonso, should he stay or should he go?

Fernando Alonso. 16 years in the sport, two world titles and thousands of memes later, what's next for the spaniard? With Honda not delivering,is it time for Fernando to go,or should he stay and attempt to end his career on a high? Alonso is regarded as potentially one of the greatest drivers in F1 history. He's done wonders for the sport, with his investment in young karters back in his home country of Spain, and his golden radio lines. The decision to join Mclaren in 2015 was an understandable choice at the time. A championship winning pairing, rejoining to win again. As we all know, that most certainly was not the case. Honda never delivered from Day 1. Quite possibly the worst engine ever made in Formula 1,yes even worse than that Coloni Subaru, what a godawful car that was. As mentioned, ever since moving from Ferrari,Fernando hasn't had a chance to show his true class, only having brief flashes of brilliance, especially in his start sequences and battles with cars that
